IPR has developed, jointly with Volkswagen, a new additional electronic system for throttling the engine. The relay generates two reference voltages that are independent of each other and conform to the values of the no-load voltage.
So, when the driving instructor presses the brake pedal, these no-load voltage values will be applied to the accelerator pedal inputs of the engine control unit. The engine will therefore automatically run idling, even if the learner driver presses the accelerator pedal.
The relay itself does not require any further auxiliary voltage.
